At Drs. Gemmi and Middleberg’s office, we are excited to now offer you Acceledent, an accelerated treatment option that you use at home.  This means getting the smile you want in less time!

AcceleDent is an orthodontic micropulse device that we can prescribe for you to help your orthodontic treatment work faster. Your orthodontics work on their own by moving your teeth in specific directions. What AcceleDent does is generate small vibrations – micropulses – as your teeth are guided by your orthodontics. These micropulses accelerate the changing – or remodeling – the bones surrounding your teeth to speed up tooth movement. This means that you can get your braces off faster and you will feel more comfortable during treatment. And the best part – AcceleDent is both non-invasive and non-surgical!

AcceleDent – it’s easy to use – Just ask us! 

Just ask us how easy AcceleDent is to use! All you do is insert the Mouthpiece, which is fitted around your existing orthodontics, and turn on the Activator for 20 minutes every day. That’s all – it’s that simple!

You bite the Mouthpiece with just enough pressure to hold the AcceleDent in place without using your hands. You can then go about your daily activities like watching television, working on the computer, and reading while the AcceleDent works to accelerate your treatment.

AcceleDent also helps track your usage too! When you dock the Activator/Travel Shell on the Charging Port, your usage history and details are registered and you can observe those details on the Smart Display.

Will AcceleDent work for me and is it safe?

It is a Class II medical device that has been cleared for use by the FDA – the government agency that approves drugs and medical devices. Remember, AcceleDent and all its component parts (Activator, Mouthpiece, Charging Port, and Travel Shell) is a prescription device intended for home-use only by a single patient and should be properly disposed of once treatment is finished.
